MJR Media was inspired by a passion for the creative industry, making connections with others, and a desire to carry forward a family tradition of creating great media. With our roots planted in Maine, we embrace the local culture and bring a fun and approachable vibe to our high-quality photography and video production. For the past 7 years, we’ve been perfecting our skills, collaborating with many different brands, and have experienced firsthand the incredible results that digital content can deliver for local businesses. We’ve been building our photography portfolio by capturing elopements, creating corporate branding/headshots, and more. As we continue to grow, we stay committed to going above and beyond for our clients.

Meet Michala

Since 2017, Michala has been on the scene as a full-time creative producer, videographer, and photographer. Inspired by her legendary grandfather, Bill Parker, who served the local New York news industry, she embarked on a broadcasting adventure at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.

Her journey began at West Point Military Academy, where she tackled social media management and public relations and used her video production skills to create captivating feature-length stories on cadet athletes. She even covered events like the U.S. Open and the legendary Army vs. Navy football game, bringing her storytelling to the forefront.

As her career blossomed, Michala’s next stop was in Athens as a video producer for Georgia Bulldogs Sports Marketing. From the SEC Football Championship to the NCAA Gymnastics National Championships, she captured the intensity of every live event.

After collaborating with different brands and organizations, Michala had an epiphany. She discovered her true calling lay in connecting with others and creating heartfelt stories through film and video production. From there, MJR Media was born.

When Michala isn’t behind the lens, you’ll find her soaking up the salty vibes on the southern Maine coast, fearlessly catching some waves. And she’s not one to shy away from a challenge—whether she’s pumping iron or turning her kitchen into culinary chaos alongside her fiancé, she embraces it all. Michala also is an avid yogi, and loves to lift weights, and spend time outdoors hiking.

Oh, and let’s not forget her pup/partner in crime, Cleo! This furry extraordinaire goes by multiple aliases—Cleopatra, Kiki, or Miss Girl—and accompanies Michala on all her adventures.

Michala is also on a mission to experience every bite the Maine restaurant scene has to offer. If you’re craving local food recommendations, don’t hesitate to reach out to her!

Allow us to introduce Thaddeus, the charismatic business development hype man at MJR Media, always ready to add a touch of mischief to the mix!

Armed with a smile and a mind buzzing with ideas, he’s a force to be reckoned with. Thaddeus’ journey began with a lemonade stand empire at age 10, where he discovered his passion for growth. From there, he conquered the playground market and moved on to launch innovative and eclectic startups in his early entrepreneur days, starting an Electric Bike Cafe in South Portland, Maine.

When he’s not busy with work, you’ll find Thaddeus indulging in his favorite activities. Whether he’s on the tennis court, cruising on his electric bike, or perfecting his moonwalk dance moves, he thrives on the thrill of everyday adventures.
